Les Benjamins to present “Kismet Voyage East to West” at Men’s PFW

Les Benjamins, the A-listers’ favourite Istanbul-based label that needs no introduction, is launching their new Spring-Summer collection ‘Kismet Voyage East to West’ Collection this season of Men’s Paris Fashion Week. This time around, Bünyamin Aydin looked into the world of sailing and Turkey’s rich heritage for inspiration, once again with the idea of combining comfort, futurism and practicality in mind.

This new collection pays homage to Sadun Boro, Turkey’s first amateur sailor to have circumnavigated the globe by sailing vessel. His sailing boat, the ‘Kismet-Fortune’ is the reason behind the collection’s name, channeling
Boro’s incredible performance.

Les Benjamins, just like Boro, are going from East to West, proposing an avant-garde selection of pieces, putting nautical-inspired details and tailoring at the forefront.

The first part of the new S/S 24 collection draws inspiration from the universe of sailing on its own, which is witnessed in the lightweight nylon fabrics, degraded leathers, shades of denim and recycled materials.

The second part of this voyage celebrates the “gilded glamour of the legendary sail’s awards ceremony,” displaying an array of silk and structured shapes. The suits are tailored to perfection while the multi-layering on some silhouettes gives a pop twist to the collection.

An addition of vibrant colors, echoing the ocean’s hues and graphics inspired by Sadun Boro and “his personal passion for tailoring and fashion” add some playfulness to the mix while some prints inspired by Morse code are there to leave a strong impact.
