Nestled in the heart of Mar Michael, Beirut –like any respectable hot emerging designer would be- Frock is your new go-to boutique for urban chic ready to wear.
Locally and handmade in Lebanon, with impeccable finishing at reasonable pricing, this mother/daughter duo are set to rock your wardrobe.
Silk camisoles, brocade de-structured jackets, tailored edgy trousers, shiny loose summer pants… these are just a few of Frock’s signature pieces.
When I first came about this sartorial hidden gem, it was to choose a gift for my “middle-aged” dear friend who had previously discovered and loved its designs. The reason why I have mentioned the age factor at all, is due to the fact that I had entered the boutique with the pre-set idea that it catered to a certain age bracket (whatever that might mean) but ended up going out with all the key items for my summer 2016 looks.
At the time, I was greeted and taken care of oh-so-sweetly by Ghada Azouri Rizk, who happens to be Frock’s founder and designer.
This woman boss actually graduated as a graphic designer, during which she discovered her love for canvas painting that also led her to pursue in parallel a career in fashion design, thus launching her label Frock in 2015.
Two years later, her daughter Nour Rizk, a graduate in Political Science, couldn’t help but fall in love with her mom’s passion, and soon joined the team and immersed herself fully. Together, mother and daughter, share the creative direction of the brand, by exchanging insights and creating inputs on what women, be it older or younger are looking for today in terms of day and nightwear. Relentlessly, they try to re-invent what it means to be a modern elegant woman oozing simplicity and confidence…
