Focus on Nour Milhem, Palestinian graphic designer and illustrator

By  |

JDEED’s weekly focus on Palestine kicks off with Nour Milhem, a Palestinian graphic designer and illustrator based in Dubai. Milhem was an illustration contributor for JDEED Issue 4 and we have continued to follow her projects and career ever since. In her words, she’s “not just a creative soul;” but rather “a storyteller weaving tales of positivity, imagination, and purpose through [her] art.”
Meet Nour.

Tell us about you Nour…

“I’m a Palestinian graphic designer and illustrator currently calling Dubai home. In my creative journey, I have three guiding principles that fuel my passion.

Firstly, I love channeling good energy and joy through my creations. Whether it’s a burst of color or a quirky concept, I want my art to be a source of positivity.

I aim to inspire people to tap into their inner childlike creativity. By experiencing the creative power of the subconscious mind, I encourage others to explore and embrace the playful side of their imagination—seeing beyond the ordinary.”

“As a proud Palestinian, I find profound meaning in using art to depict the richness of our culture, and people

“I have a deep passion for crafting with a purpose, creating art that connects with people and sheds light on important causes. As a proud Palestinian, I find profound meaning in using art to depict the richness of our culture, and people. While emitting positivity, I don’t shy away from addressing the tough stuff, passionately advocating for justice and the ongoing struggle for a free Palestine.

In my world, I’m not just a creative soul; I’m a storyteller weaving tales of positivity, imagination, and purpose through my art.”
