Amanqi Edit | Discover the new shoppable catalogue

By  |
The Amanqi Edit, an online destination described as “a curated edit of the finest edit of the finest in fashion, beauty and lifestyle” launched by sisters Manal and Amani Waqi in Dubai is starting its new super exciting feature. You can now navigate their “shop” section that redirects you from their platform to the e-commerce site of the brands they support. We asked Manal to tell us more about this “shoppable catalogue”.
Overview of The Amanqi Edit
“The Amanqi Edit was established with the aim to support & promote emerging design talent. Initially this stemmed from online features, eventually branching out into collaborative retail events, white label consulting and content creation. At the core of whatever we do, the aim remains to support the emerging designers.”
New Venture
“Our new website focuses on the need for readers & audiences to find a place to shop emerging designers. The idea is for customers to be able to browse a shoppable interface in search of new brands in an editorial format. In terms of features, we’re focusing on pushing a lot more interviews & interactive content.”

Which designers
“Our launching 11 designers feature local talent such as Talar Nina, Indira, Sheen & Halm. On an international front, we have the likes of Jessica Choay & Here/Now.”

The Middle-East’s need for initiatives
“Although there are so many cool emerging brands in the region, much of the retail is driven by Instagram DMs & Whatsapp. We believe there has to be a more all-encompassing retail platform to promote said brands in a shoppable way; giving them access to new customers and also potentially new markets.”
