Social Entreprise | 81 Designs

The UAE based social entreprise 81 Designs, co-founded by Nesrine El-Tibi and Nadine Y Maalouf in 2015, has officially launched this Friday March 17th at Art Dubai with the exhibition of 8 unique pieces made in collaboration with Tunisian-French artist El Seed.

81 Designs has employed artisans women from Palestinian refugee camps living in Ain El Helweh, South Lebanon to give life to these cross-stitch embroidery artworks inspired from some of El Seed’s most famous realizations.

Hoping to give these women a new sense of purpose in life, but more generally speaking, hope, 81 Designs will continue working in collaboration with artists from the MENA region to pursue this initiative.
