Mira Mikati

Mira Mikati seems to be living in a fantasy world and we clearly want to be part of it. Rainbows, smiling clouds, stars, the child within us falls for her design (but so does the adult we now are).

The Lebanese designer, now based in London started her career in fashion in 2007 when she co-founded Beirut’s most acclaimed and avant-garde concept store Plum.

After she was invited to design a capsule collection for Parisian label Façonnable, Mira started writing her own story with the launch of her eponymous brand.

Japanese artists Takashi Murakami or Yoshimoto Nara are great inspirations to her. As for KAWS’ toys, they represent an obsession.

Playful, fun but beautifully tailored, Mikati’s enchanting world now counts Rihanna or Beyoncé as some of her numerous fans.
