Autumn is here and with the falling of leaves comes another busy season in the region’s art and fashion scene. Thankfully JDEED has you covered: below are what you absolutely must see this season, from new exhibitions to workshops to shows, sure to inspire creativity at every turn.

Artist Khalif Tahir Thompson has opened his first solo show at Zidoun-Bossuyt Dubai, open until 5 November. Thompson, who is well-known for his portraiture and figuration work, explores notions of self through race, sexuality, and spirituality. With training in New York City and New Haven, Thompson’s work shines in Zidoun-Bossuyt with its magical colors and mixed technique, including paper-making and collage.
Promising a thrilling and engaging week at Dubai Design District (d3), Dubai Design Week returns, with this year’s programming focusing on designing for a sustainable future. Watch out for d3’s Architecture Exhibition, featuring regional and international architects with installations throughout the space. From the trade show to installations, talks, and exhibitions, this year’s Dubai Design Week is a must-visit for all things sustainable innovation and inspiration.
The large regional art event is back! Keep a close eye out on the Beyond: Emerging Artists program featuring Majd Alloush, Mohamed Khalid, and Sarah Al Mehairi. Curated by Abed Al Kadiri, the exhibition runs from 16 November – 23 January.
In its 4th year, Fashion Trust Arabia is always front and center on JDEED’s calendar. With Turkey as the guest country, this year’s Prize event is sure to keep us on our toes. Look out for exclusive JDEED coverage from Doha in the coming weeks!
