The Arab Fashion Council catches the zeitgeist with a Virtual Fashion Week

The AFC is taking bold steps and is on its way to revolutionize this year’s Arab Fashion week, organizing it virtually. As a way to respect “the precautionary measures the local authorities have implemented recently,”  hosting the event online will allow to prevent crowd gatherings and enable the event to happen in a safe way for all participating members and viewers.

“For the first time ever, the entire event will be hosted virtually maintaining its traditional program through added value innovation.”

As 2020 presented challenges but also opportunities, The Shows and Beyond the Shows panel discussions will be happening live on the Arab Fashion Week website, giving the chance to a bigger-than-ever audience to follow the broadcasts from the comfort of their homes.

The shows will also be live on Tiktok and hence broadcasted to over 300 million people, giving an occasion to buyers to order collections through “a 360 degrees online showroom” and to clients to buy whatever look seduced their eyes with a  “see-now; buy-now” experience in partnership with designated luxury online stores.

It’s all happening from June 24th to 26th and you can find out more on the AFW website right here
