Maya Diab tells us about “Taqa Egabiya” and the power of positivity

| Lebanese superstar Maya Diab and Warner Music are partnering up for Diab’s upcoming album #MyMayaV. The first track “Taqa Egabiya” (positive energy), written and composed by Mohamed Yahya and arranged by Khaled Nabil is an ode to feeling positive, a much needed #mood that Diab sings about so well. Directed by Raja Nehme, the music video features a super fun Maya in all her splendor. We spoke to Diab to know more about this new release.

Hello Maya! Congrats on the new release. How does it feel to have new music coming out? Is it still exciting as in the beginning?

It is more exciting every time. The sense of excitement and anticipation grows with each release. I put time, effort and creativity into always crafting something unique whether in my audios or in my music videos, so I am always eager to share it with my audience.

What can you tell us about Taqa Egabiya? What brings you positive energy?

“Taqa Eabiya” as a song is full of positivity, fun lyrics and fun vibes. I really do get some positive energy whenever I listen to it. My own positive energy comes from my daughter, to be honest.

What can we expect from your upcoming album?

My new upcoming album offers the opportunity for fans to experience a fresh collection of songs and stories. Whether it’s Egyptian, Lebanese, and Moroccan, fans will hear fresh sounds and innovative production techniques.

You collaborated with international superstars like Jason Derulo and French Montana. Is
there an artist you’d like to record a song with today?

I have many names in mind, from which, you will be hearing about it very soon!
