Valentino Cinema: A Cinematic Tribute to Federico Fellini in Abu Dhabi

Maison Valentino, in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), presents Valentino Cinema, an exclusive four-night screening event celebrating the genius of Italian director Federico Fellini.

Held at the 421 Art Campus in Abu Dhabi from January 13th to 16th, 2025, this unique cultural experience takes inspiration from Fellini’s iconic portrayal of Rome, a city that also served as a muse for Valentino’s Avant Les Débuts campaign, designed by Creative Director Alessandro Michele.

Abu Dhabi, renowned as the UAE’s luxury and fashion capital, serves as the perfect backdrop for this event, blending its rich cultural heritage with a forward-thinking vision of luxury. Through this collaboration, Maison Valentino and ADIO redefine the intersection of fashion, cinema, and cultural experiences, showcasing the emirate’s role as a global hub for innovative and elegant experiences.

The event unfolds over four nights, with screenings of Fellini’s Roma (January 13th and 14th), La Dolce Vita (January 15th), and 8 ½ (January 16th). The screenings will be preceded by an opening panel moderated by Butheina Kazim, founder of Cinema Akil, UAE’s first independent cinema. Kazim, a prominent figure in the Arab film industry, has been a key advocate for independent cinema in the region, helping to redefine the cultural landscape of film in the UAE. She will engage in conversation with renowned filmmakers such as Abdulla Al Kaabi, a celebrated Emirati filmmaker known for his work on impactful films like The Police Officer and Looking for Love. Sarah Alhashimi, an emerging talent in the UAE’s film scene, will also share her perspective on how Fellini’s work has influenced her cinematic storytelling. The panel will also feature Chndy, an experimental filmmaker, whose avant-garde approach pushes the boundaries of traditional cinema, drawing inspiration from global artistic movements, including the spirit of Fellini’s innovative filmmaking.
