Fashion Trust Arabia (FTA), the non-profit initiative launched in 2018 under the patronage of HH Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser as honorary chair, with co-chairs HE Sheikha Al-Mayassa bint Hamad Al-Thani and Tania Fares, hosted its third annual FTA 2021 Prize last night in Doha, Qatar, at the National Museum.

And what a night it was, filled with talent, fashion and VIP guests. The award ceremony was co-presented by model Irina Shayk and Al Jazeera TV presenter Fairouz Ziane in front of some of the industry heavyweights such as Naomi Campbell, Virgil Abloh, Pierpaolo Piccioli, Catherine Deneuve, Natalia Vodianova, Precious Lee, Jordan Barrett, Waris Ahluwalia, Farida Khelfa, Joshua Jackson, Alessandro Mahmoud, Stephen Jones, Alex Israel, Alexa Chung, Azza Fahmy, Carine Roitfeld, Casey Cadwallader, Elie Saab, Francesca Amfitheatro, Gherardo Felloni, Haider Ackermann, Juergen Teller, Laura Brown, Remo Ruffini, Sandra Choi, Zuhair Murad, and Afef Jnifen.

The winners of the different categories had been selected earlier that day by a jury of fashion professionals including big names such as Roger Vivier, Alexa Chung, Virgil Abloh, Olivier Rousteing, Haider Hackermann, Elie Saab, Laura Brown and much more.

Virgil Abloh also took the stage to announce Amina Muaddi as the first recipient of the new Entrepreneur of the Year Award, which celebrates young Arab creative entrepreneurs whose contribution to the global scene are remarkable.
