IT’S ON ÎLE DU GRAND GAOU IN THE SOUTH OF FRANCE THAT SLIMANE BROUGHT HIS CAST OF COOL KIDS AND PROFESSIONAL MOTORCYCLISTS TO GIVE LIFE TO THE CELINE’S MEN SS2022 COSMIC CRUISER COLLECTION, IN A BREATHTAKING PERFORMANCE.
ONCE SO FAMOUS FOR HIS SKINNY JEANS SILHOUETTE, THE DESIGNER UNCOVERED A GRUNGIER SIDE OF HIS ARTISTRY WITH 90S INSPIRED WIDE-LEG TROUSERS WHILE REMAINING TRUE TO HIS CODES OF BIKER JACKETS, LEOPARD PRINT AND LEATHER.
Prints and sequins walk hand in hand on this motocross track, giving life to a neo-Slimane aesthetic of layerings and wide shirts that we applaud; an iconic blazer features a “Heavenly days” shiny embroidery on its back that we want to be wearing Asap.
For this collection, Slimane worked with 14 artists who added their touch through slogans, trendy smiley faces, animal prints here and there.
The Celine man remains his established self, very thin, milky skin with bad-ass rock’n’roll attitude.
