Saudi National Day: The JDEED Edit
Saudi National Day 2024, celebrated on September 23, marks the 94th anniversary of the unification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This significant day commemorates the moment in 1932 when King Abdulaziz Al Saud declared the establishment of the modern Saudi state, bringing together various regions under one kingdom.
Each year, the day is observed with national pride and enthusiasm through public celebrations, including fireworks, parades, concerts, and cultural performances. Themes for this celebration usually revolve around national unity, heritage, and the country’s vision for the future - the celebration for 2024 will likely emphasize on the Kingdom's ongoing achievements in line with Vision 2030, which focuses on economic diversification, modernization, and social reforms.
National Day is a public holiday across the Kingdom, giving citizens and residents the opportunity to reflect on Saudi Arabia's rich history, cultural heritage, and its aspirations for the future.
