Pedal for a Cause: Movember Meets Men’s Health Awareness at Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi

In true gentlemanly style, Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi is putting the spotlight on men’s health this Movember with its signature community cycling initiative, ‘Ride with Rixos.’

Teaming up with Shanab—a standout men’s health campaign under Friends of Cancer Patients—this 30th November ride along Abu Dhabi’s Corniche isn’t just about the thrill of the road. It’s about embracing camaraderie, wellness, and the Movember mission to raise awareness around prostate and testicular cancers and men’s mental health.

The event kicks off at 6:45 AM with a warm-up session to gear riders up for the 20km scenic cruise through Abu Dhabi’s waterfront, blending urban sophistication with winter sunshine. Post-ride, participants can recharge with Turkish-inspired hospitality, savoring light bites and refreshing beverages before winding down with a dedicated wellness stretch.

‘Ride with Rixos’ is more than a cycling event—it’s a growing movement with purpose. Launched in June 2023, this initiative has already rallied over 800 participants across five editions, aligning fitness with impactful causes like cancer awareness. Shanab, meaning “moustache” in Arabic, has championed men’s health since 2014, emphasizing early cancer detection and breaking taboos surrounding men’s wellness.
