Between a painting and a gown, an art gallery and a salon, the baroque and a spray-painted rebellion—Marni’s Fall/Winter 2025 Vol.2 collection doesn’t just tell a story, it breathes it, wears it, lives it.

This season, Francesco Risso invites us into a world where fashion is more than just fabric and silhouettes—it’s a living, evolving narrative shaped by history, art, and underground subcultures. Ugh. We. Love. It. This is what Fashion is all about.

Marni FW25 Look 20

It all began on a misty London evening, where an impromptu meeting over aperitifs between Risso, Nigerian-British artist Olaolu Slawn, and creative collective Soldier Boyfriend ignited a creative storm. The result? The Pink Sun, a month-long artist residency where opulent history was reworked through the raw, urgent energy of underground artistry.

A Salon That Transcends Time

Stepping into the Marni FW25 show felt like entering a Renaissance painting in motion, layered with the grit of street culture and the irreverence of a postmodern dreamscape. The house itself became a living canvas, echoing the very spirit of the creative process—unfolding, evolving, breaking and rebuilding. This wasn’t just a runway; it was a manifesto.

The collection toyed with the boundaries of tradition and fantasy. A wolf’s hide morphed into a razor-sharp tailored suit, flowers seemed to bloom straight out of satin, fur tufts cascaded from structured silhouettes like living sculptures—a wardrobe lifted from a storybook yet woven into everyday reality. Craft met chaos, nostalgia danced with futurism, and nothing was static.

Fashion as a Living Sculpture

Shapes were sculptural, organic, and rebellious, as if caught mid-transformation. Jackets were distorted yet refined, skirts ballooned at unexpected angles, and textures felt tactile, almost alive. There was a tension—between opulence and rawness, between structure and fluidity, between heritage and disruption.

And yet, everything was unmistakably Marni—a house that never settles, always questioning, forever embracing the joy of reinvention.

The Soundtrack of a Revolution

With Dev Hynes orchestrating the soundscape, the collection moved with an air of melancholic romance and electric rebellion. The smoky atmosphere of a Milanese café, the murmur of conversations, the clash of eras—it all played into the spirit of a salon reimagined for the now.

The Pink Sun Rises

Marni’s FW25 wasn’t just a collection, it was an invitation—to step into a world where fashion isn’t worn, it’s experienced. Where a dress can be a poem, a jacket can be a sculpture, and a salon can become a revolution in itself.

This is Marni, forever layered, cherished, reimagined. Welcome to The Pink Sun.
