One of Dubai’s most famed restaurant, The Maine Land Braaserie, is the perfect destination if you’re after a great meal meets a great atmosphere.
Not only is the food absolutely delicious, the lavish decor with larger-than-life chandeliers and live entertainment makes the ideal combination to spend to remember.

Established in 2014 by Pine Tree State Trading Company, The MAINE, has grown and grown to becoming the leading New England brasserie company in the world, with locations now open in Dubai, London, Ibiza and -just announced a few days ago- Bodrum.
Montreal-born Lebanese entrepreneur Joey Ghazal got inspired by his summer holidays spent between the Maine and Vermont states (the part of the US East Coast called New England) as a child to create The MAINE, a region that is rich in seafood and especially lobsters that have a reputation all over the world.

For its Business Bay location, at the heart of the ME by Melia at Opus by Zaha Hadid, The Maine Land Brasserie boasts breath-taking neo-speakeasy aesthetics, windows recalling those of a cathedral. floor tiles of another time- in short, The Maine Land Brasserie is giving nostalgia.

Chic seafood platters, oysters everyone is talking about, XXL shrimps elegantly presented the vintage way, but also a scrumptious lobster pasta for 2 and extensive choices for carnivores, food at The Maine is nothing short of impeccable.
As per the starter we didn’t know we needed, the artichokes, served deep fried, is a house favourite you shouldn’t miss.

A few sips of a well-balanced spicy marg’ in, it was time for a performance, (fear not, not ours) presenting a smooth live band and cabaret-inspired dancer who add to the old-charm vibes of the surroundings.

As per dessert, which is always a hard choice for someone who loves to end on a sweet note but doesn’t like anything too sweet (where is our “complicated eaters” crew at?) we didn’t know where to look and sampling each of them didn’t seem exactly feasible.
Our choice of a San Sebastian cheesecake and chocolate mousse didn’t disappoint, the latter being particularly light for a chocolate-based indulgence. Note that portions are copious and perfect for sharing.

For our vegan friends, The Maine proposes a few options that were carefully concocted and that aren’t your usual bland and uninspired sans animal product dishes. Here rather a “No meat short rib” with truffle mash and kale chips, a charred cauliflower steak with Old bay seasoning and King Oyster mushrooms or a pizza verde with sunflower seed pesto, zucchini, padrón, green olives and peppers.

At The Maine, you can also enjoy weekly specials such as the “Suck Fest’ Monday to Friday from 6-8pm with oysters going for 10AED/piece (a steal), the “Golden Hours’ with a Buy 1 Get 1 on a selected beverage list (Weekdays 5-7pm) or the “Big Sunday Roast” on Sundays from 12 to 8pm.

To perfect it all, service was elegant and absolutely charming.

The Maine has 3 locations in Dubai as well as Mayfair – London, Ibiza and Bodrum.
